A person using display fireworks at a public or private event shall obtain a permit from the governing body of the municipality, township, or county where the display fireworks are to be used. Display fireworks may only be purchased from a wholesaler licensee. Use of display fireworks at a public or private event shall comply with the National Fire Protection Association Standard 1123, 2018 edition.
