{"data":{"id":"us-sd/sdcl-36-1c-1","jurisdiction":"us-sd","citation":"SDCL § 36-1C-1","heading":"Definitions.","body":"Terms used in this chapter mean:\n(1) \"Administrator,\" the executive director, executive secretary, or other person designated as being responsible for a professional or occupational licensing's board, commission, or agency operation;\n(2) \"Adverse action,\" a final decision by an administrator or agency to deny, condition, discipline, fine, limit, suspend, revoke, refuse to renew, or otherwise withhold a license. The term does not include emergency or temporary action against an applicant or licensee;\n(3) \"Agency,\" a professional or occupational licensing board, commission, or agency set forth in title 36;\n(4) \"Conviction,\" a plea of guilty, a verdict of guilty by a jury, a finding of guilty, or a plea of nolo contendere or a similar plea which is accepted by a court;\n(5) \"Criminal history,\" any criminal conviction, sentence, or judgment against a licensee or applicant;\n(6) \"Complaint,\" an allegation of a violation of the laws or rules of a professional or occupational licensing board, commission, or agency set forth in title 36;\n(7) \"Investigative committee,\" one or more persons employed or contracted by a professional or occupational licensing board, commission, or agency set forth in title 36 to review and investigate complaints; and\n(8) \"License,\" any certification, license, permit, or other authorization related to the practice of any profession or occupation regulated under title 36.","path":["TITLE 36.
