{"data":{"id":"us-sd/sdcl-36-9a-1","jurisdiction":"us-sd","citation":"SDCL § 36-9A-1","heading":"Definition of terms.","body":"Terms as used in this chapter mean:\n(1) \"Approved program,\" an educational program of study which meets the requirements established by this chapter and by the board;\n(2) \"Board,\" the South Dakota Board of Nursing;\n(3) \"License,\" the written authorization by the board required to practice the specialties of certified nurse practitioner or certified nurse midwife;\n(4) \"Certified nurse midwife,\" a provider duly authorized under this chapter to practice the nursing specialty of nurse midwifery as defined in § 36-9A-13;\n(5) \"Certified nurse practitioner,\" a provider duly authorized under this chapter to practice the specialty of nurse practitioner as defined in § 36-9A-12;\n(6) \"Collaboration,\" the act of communicating pertinent information or consulting with a licensed physician or other licensed health care provider with each provider contributing the provider's respective expertise to optimize the overall care delivered to the patient;\n(7) \"Advanced practice registered nurse,\" or \"APRN,\" a person licensed by the board in the role of a certified nurse practitioner or a certified nurse midwife;\n(8) A collaborative agreement, as used in this chapter, means a written mutual agreement between a licensee who has not met the required one thousand forty practice hours and a physician, licensed pursuant to SDCL 36-4, or a certified nurse practitioner or certified nurse midwife licensed under this chapter.","path":["TITLE 36.
