{"data":{"id":"us-sd/sdcl-37-29-7","jurisdiction":"us-sd","citation":"SDCL § 37-29-7","heading":"Effect on other law.","body":"(a) Except as provided in subsection (b), this chapter displaces conflicting tort, restitutionary, and other law of this state providing civil remedies for misappropriation of a trade secret.\n(b) This chapter does not affect:\n(1) Contractual remedies, whether or not based upon misappropriation of a trade secret;\n(2) Other civil remedies that are not based upon misappropriation of a trade secret; or\n(3) Criminal remedies, whether or not based upon misappropriation of a trade secret.","path":["TITLE 37.
