{"data":{"id":"us-sd/sdcl-41-7-1","jurisdiction":"us-sd","citation":"SDCL § 41-7-1","heading":"Hunting license to child under sixteen--Requirements--Penalty.","body":"Notwithstanding § 41-6-13, a hunting license, other than a mentored youth hunting license, may not be issued to a child under the age of sixteen, unless the child presents to the person authorized to issue the license:\n(1) A certificate verifying the successful completion of a hunter safety or hunter education course, as provided for in rules promulgated by the Game, Fish and Parks Commission, pursuant to chapter 1-26;\n(2) A certificate verifying the successful completion of a hunter safety or hunter education course from another state or province of Canada; or\n(3) A hunting license issued to the applicant in the current or previous year.\nA violation of this section is a Class 2 misdemeanor.","path":["TITLE 41.
