{"data":{"id":"us-sd/sdcl-46a-14-13","jurisdiction":"us-sd","citation":"SDCL § 46A-14-13","heading":"Time and place for hearing on initiating petition--Publication of notice--Contents.","body":"If the conservation district supervisors and county auditors determine that a sufficient initiating petition has been filed, the conservation district supervisors shall within ten days, thereafter, by their order, fix a time and place, for a hearing on the petition. Notice of the hearing shall be given by the conservation district supervisors by publication once each week for at least two consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the area covered by the proposed district. The last notice shall occur within ten days before the hearing and shall contain the following:\n(1) A statement that an initiating petition has been filed with the conservation district supervisors and a copy of the petition with the county auditor of each affected county;\n(2) A general description of the purpose of the contemplated improvement and the territory to be included in the proposed district;\n(3) The date, time, and place of hearing;\n(4) A statement that all persons affected by the petition or interested in the petition may appear and be heard.\nSource: SL 1957, ch 492, § 6; SL 1959, ch 452, § 4; SDC Supp 1960, § 61.1506; SDCL § 46-24-13; SL 1972, ch 239, § 8; SL 2013, ch 228, § 16.","path":["TITLE 46A.
