{"data":{"id":"us-sd/sdcl-46a-18-28","jurisdiction":"us-sd","citation":"SDCL § 46A-18-28","heading":"Annexation or withdrawal of areas.","body":"An additional area may be annexed or an area withdrawn from a water project district by:\n(1) Circulation of an initiating petition therefor by the qualified voters in the new area and in the existing district, similar to an initiating petition specified in § 46A-18-2; or\n(2) Circulation of an initiating petition by the qualified voters in the affected area and passage of a resolution therefor by the directors of the water project district.\nUpon receipt of an initiating petition and passage of a resolution by the directors, the Board of Water and Natural Resources shall annex or withdraw the area in the same manner as prescribed for creation of a new water project district.\nSource: SL 1984, ch 293, § 27.","path":["TITLE 46A.
