Code Ann. § 12-6-105","heading":"Penalty for failure to distribute acts","body":"(a) If the printer or secretary of state fails to perform such printer's or secretary of state's duties, the printer or secretary of state shall forfeit five hundred dollars ($500), to be recovered in the name and for the use of the state by the comptroller of the treasury.\n(b) Moreover, such failure is a Class C misdemeanor, and the comptroller of the treasury shall cause the delinquent to be indicted for the same.\n(c) The comptroller of the treasury shall forfeit the sum of five hundred dollars ($500), to be recovered by any person who will sue for the same, if the comptroller of the treasury fails to enforce the aforementioned penalties against the printer and secretary of state.","path":["TN Code","Title 12","Chapter 6"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"8aa08b07dcfcebcbfb671df0cee1cb61b80eb052737035e1c907483ccee9d74d","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-12-6-104","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-12-6-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
