Code Ann. § 34-3-103","heading":"Priority of persons to be considered for appointment","body":"Subject to the court's determination of what is in the best interests of the person with a disability, the court shall consider the following persons in the order listed for appointment of the conservator:\n(1) The person or persons designated in a writing signed by the alleged person with a disability;\n(2) The spouse of the person with a disability;\n(3) Any child of the person with a disability;\n(4) Closest relative or relatives of the person with a disability;\n(5) A district public guardian as described by § 34-7-104 ; and\n(6) Other person or persons.","path":["TN Code","Title 34","Chapter 3"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"be810482ca257b433c168f766576a25558892fe7665a82cb145aab1643a22b88","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-34-3-102","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-34-3-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
