Code Ann. § 34-5-105","heading":"Limitation on number of wards","body":"(a) No person, other than a bank or trust company, shall be guardian of more than twelve (12) wards at one time, unless all wards are members of one family.\n(b) Upon presentation of a petition by an attorney of the department of veterans services or other interested person, alleging that a guardian is acting in a fiduciary capacity for more than twelve (12) wards as provided in subsection (a) and requesting the guardian's discharge for that reason, the court, upon proof substantiating the petition, shall require a final accounting forthwith from the guardian and shall discharge the guardian from guardianships in excess of twelve (12), after first having appointed a successor.","path":["TN Code","Title 34","Chapter 5"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"6fa9146a1824999cf1b1821eced2e6e6410eb07dbcd18070fdfa054adc5e351b","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-34-5-104","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-34-5-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
