Code Ann. § 36-5-2603","heading":"Effect of registration for enforcement","body":"(a) A support order or income-withholding order issued in another state or a foreign support order is registered when the order is filed in the registering tribunal of this state.\n(b) A registered support order issued in another state or a foreign country is enforceable in the same manner and is subject to the same procedures as an order issued by a tribunal of this state.\n(c) Except as otherwise provided in parts 20-29 of this chapter, a tribunal of this state shall recognize and enforce, but may not modify, a registered support order if the issuing tribunal had jurisdiction.","path":["TN Code","Title 36","Chapter 5"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"ce6925b60149a9cfc49d3d97b9f449b82ad425b6303c4c42ff0cb9aa76326521","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-36-5-2602","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-36-5-2604"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
