Code Ann. § 4-3-111","heading":"Chief executive officers of administrative departments","body":"There shall be a chief executive officer of each of the administrative departments of state government created by § 4-3-101 , which shall be as follows: (1) Attorney general and reporter, for the legal department; (2) Commissioner of agriculture, for the department of agriculture; (3) Commissioner of children's services, for the department of children's services; (4) Commissioner of commerce and insurance, for the department of commerce and insurance; (5) Commissioner of correction, for the department of correction; (6) Commissioner of economic and community development, for the department of economic and community development; (7) Commissioner of education, for the department of education; (8) Commissioner of environment and conservation, for the department of environment and conservation; (9) Commissioner of finance and administration, for the department of finance and administration; (10) Commissioner of financial institutions, for the department of financial institutions; (11) Commissioner of general services, for the department of general services; (12) Commissioner of health, for the department of health; (13) Commissioner of human resources, for the department of human resources; (14) Commissioner of human services, for the department of human services; (15) Commissioner of department of disability and aging, for the department of disability and aging; (16) Commissioner of labor and workforce development, for the department of labor and workforce development; (17) Commissioner of mental health and substance abuse services, for the department of mental health and substance abuse services; (18) Commissioner of revenue, for the department of revenue; (19) Commissioner of safety, for the department of safety; (20) Commissioner of tourist development, for the department of tourist development; (21) Commissioner of transportation, for the department of transportation; (22) Commissioner of veterans services, for the department of veterans services; (23) Comptroller of the treasury, for the department of audit; (24) Secretary of state, for the department of state; and (25) State treasurer, for the department of treasury.
