Code Ann. § 4-3-4902","heading":"Part definitions","body":"As used in this part, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Commission\" means the Tennessee film, entertainment and music commission;\n(2) \"Commissioner\" means the commissioner of economic and community development;\n(3) \"Department\" means the department of economic and community development;\n(4) \"Executive director\" means the director of the commission;\n(5) \"Film/TV fund\" means the Tennessee film/television incentive fund;\n(6) \"Minority participant\" means an individual who is impeded from normal entry into the economic mainstream because of race, religion, sex or national origin;\n(7) \"Production activities\" means activities related to the production of entertainment properties;\n(8) \"Production company\" means any person or entity that produces a film, movie, pilot, or show in this state; develops computer-generated imagery or interactive digital media, including audiovisual streaming services, in this state; or produces stand-alone post-production scoring and editing in this state;\n(9) \"State-certified production\" means a film, movie, pilot, or show; computer-generated imagery or interactive digital media, including audiovisual streaming services; or stand-alone post-production scoring and editing, that meets the criteria established by the commission to receive an incentive grant; and\n(10) \"Tennessee motion picture and television incentive grant\" or \"incentive grant\" means a grant for a state-certified production that is approved by the department to receive a grant based upon the recommendation of the executive director.","path":["TN Code","Title 4","Chapter 3"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"c1db98ff1956d2b6665af1cf649b5d3910a6cb656b1da53ea860c4bca8dd1bee","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-4-3-4901","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-4-3-4903"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
