Code Ann. § 4-54-103","heading":"Chapter definitions","body":"As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Firearms accessories\" means items that are used in conjunction with or mounted upon a firearm but are not essential to the basic function of a firearm, including, but not limited to, telescopic or laser sights, magazines, flash or sound suppressors, folding or aftermarket stocks and grips, speedloaders, ammunition carriers and lights for target illumination;\n(2) \"Generic and insignificant parts\" includes, but is not limited to, springs, screws, nuts and pins; and\n(3) \"Manufactured\" means creating a firearm, a firearm accessory or ammunition from basic materials for functional usefulness, including, but not limited to, forging, casting, machining or other processes for working materials.","path":["TN Code","Title 4","Chapter 54"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"b4c91c2f676211f56a816d76ef4c10aa53bad7bcb9610ab1bfef8b2eba51379f","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-4-54-102","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-4-54-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
