Code Ann. § 43-29-114","heading":"Promotion boards - Meetings - Organization - Duties","body":"Members of each board shall meet and organize within thirty (30) days of their appointment and shall elect a chair, a vice chair and a secretary-treasurer from the membership of the board, each to serve for a one-year term. The duties and responsibilities of the board shall be prescribed by the commissioner to the extent applicable and shall include the following:\n(1) Developing and recommending to the commissioner administrative rules and procedures relating to the assessments;\n(2) Preparing and effectuating the estimated budget required for the proper operation of the board;\n(3) Developing methods for assessing producers and methods for collecting the necessary funds;\n(4) Collecting and assembling information necessary for the proper administration of the assessment program; and\n(5) Performing any other duties necessary to the operation of the promotion program in coordination with the commissioner.","path":["TN Code","Title 43","Chapter 29"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"ee757949575deb8cc0b370f8b5d2134866e87e6acd5fa7c22d80f1adb28bd989","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-43-29-113","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-43-29-115"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
