It is recognized that these lands are finite, fragile, and valuable resources that contribute economically and socially to the well being of the state. It is also recognized that these lands are subject to change and conversion from agricultural production as a result of urban expansion, and similar land development measures. It is the policy of the state to provide a process for the recognition of lands dedicated to agricultural production and to assure an accurate understanding of the impacts of public policy decisions that might otherwise alter the capability of those lands to remain in agricultural production.","path":["TN Code","Title 43","Chapter 34"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"71596c30799e8abc7910af251c8c5973fabc1e8da7e7d14b44ffe3c268b28568","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-43-34-101","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-43-34-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
