Code Ann. § 45-5-504","heading":"Violations - Cease and Desist Orders - Penalties","body":"If, after notice and opportunity for a hearing, the commissioner finds that a person has violated this chapter, or any administrative rule issued pursuant to this chapter, the commissioner may take any or all of the following actions:\n(1) Order the person to cease and desist violating this chapter or any administrative rule issued pursuant to this chapter;\n(2) Require the refund of any interest, fees, or charges collected by the person in violation of this chapter or any administrative rule issued pursuant to this chapter; and\n(3) Order the person to pay the commissioner a civil monetary penalty of not more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000) for each violation of this chapter or administrative rule issued pursuant to this chapter.","path":["TN Code","Title 45","Chapter 5"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"6ad55503deb073e128c5347c2b884d9c7984262634209f6fddd3e0b3ca7b2a70","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-45-5-503","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-45-5-505"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
