Code Ann. § 45-6-220","heading":"Existing licensees - Renewals","body":"(a) Notwithstanding any provision of this part to the contrary, the license of any person, firm, or corporation licensed as a pawnbroker on July 1, 1988, shall continue in force until the natural expiration thereof, and all other provisions of this part shall apply to the licensee.\n(b) The pawnbroker shall be eligible for renewal of the license upon its expiration or the expiration of subsequent renewals; provided, that the licensee complies with the requirements for renewal that were in effect immediately prior to July 1, 1988.","path":["TN Code","Title 45","Chapter 6"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"6ff814cb17a23b8fe9b0721367cc1d83394f33f80dcb5addd5cb8cddcaf20fb7","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-45-6-219","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-45-6-221"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
