Code Ann. § 47-18-5205","heading":"Violation of part constituting violation of the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act - Application and construction","body":"(a) A violation of this part constitutes a violation of the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act.\n(b) For the purpose of application of the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act, any violation of this part shall be construed to constitute an unfair or deceptive act or practice affecting trade or commerce and subject to the penalties and remedies as provided in such act, in addition to the penalties and remedies set forth in this part.\n(c) If the attorney general has reason to believe that a person has violated this part, then the attorney general may institute a proceeding under this chapter.","path":["TN Code","Title 47","Chapter 18"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"a2f2c73d0e50fb77196e6e5d68ad609800cb4cbdc4792673813cbab5d50a11c0","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-47-18-5204","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-47-18-5301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
