Code Ann. § 52-3-104","heading":"Confidential information - Persons authorized to disclose","body":"Information about a person supported that is confidential under § 52-3-103 may be disclosed with the consent of:\n(1) The person supported who is sixteen (16) years of age or older;\n(2) The conservator of the person supported or a conservator whom the court has granted the authority to make such disclosures;\n(3) The attorney in fact under a power of attorney who has the right to make disclosures under the power;\n(4) The parent, legal guardian, or legal custodian of a person supported who is a child;\n(5) The person supported's guardian ad litem for the purposes of the litigation in which the guardian ad litem serves;\n(6) The executor or administrator of the estate of a deceased adult person supported, or the parent or legal guardian of a deceased person supported who was a minor at the time of death;\n(7) The caregiver under title 34, chapter 6, part 3; or\n(8) An individual acting as an agent, or a person's surrogate as designated, under the Tennessee Health Care Decisions Act, compiled in title 68, chapter 11, part 18.","path":["TN Code","Title 52","Chapter 3"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"797c1394658a6e9dbc8e8edd0d2452d8c143f6eca73e5c5024667332f9cbd41b","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-52-3-103","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-52-3-105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
