Code Ann. § 55-10-119","heading":"Detaining drivers involved in accidents involving serious bodily injury or death if driver does not have valid driver license and evidence of financial responsibility","body":"An officer shall detain a driver without a warrant, as provided in § 40-7-103 , and bring the driver before a committing magistrate if the driver: (1) Is involved in an accident resulting in: (A) Serious bodily injury, as defined in § 55-50-502 ; or (B) Death; (2) Does not have a valid driver license; and (3) Does not have evidence of financial responsibility as required by § 55-12-139 .
