Code Ann. § 55-9-216","heading":"Steering wheels - Penalty for violation","body":"(a) It is unlawful for anyone to install or maintain a steering wheel of less than twelve inches (12\") in diameter in any motor vehicle operated upon any highway, street or public road of this state; provided, however, that this subsection (a) does not apply to any motor vehicle specially equipped for persons with disabilities or originally equipped with such a steering wheel by the original manufacturer of same.\n(b) Any person who violates this section shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than fifty dollars ($50.00) for each violation.","path":["TN Code","Title 55","Chapter 9"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"54194edbdbb1d75e92e1cd624dbcf61dddc762650aeee76b4b5dd9af85d22051","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-55-9-215","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-55-9-217"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
