Code Ann. § 56-35-201","heading":"Agents to be licensed - Examination - Other requirements","body":"(a) No person within this state shall act as or hold out to be a title insurance agent unless properly licensed in accordance with chapter 6, part 1 of this title.\n(b) The examination administered to applicants for a title insurance agent's license shall include questions regarding the search and examination of title to real property.\n(c) Any title insurance agent who is employed by a title insurance agency or company shall not be required to enter into any agreement, term or condition as set forth in § 56-35-131 insofar as the agent's employment with the title insurance agency or company is concerned; provided, that the agent meets all other licensing requirements.","path":["TN Code","Title 56","Chapter 35"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"297f46af9bd36fb3593a373392bffe96ecb3834682031bf1c04a5a3c41dbee46","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-56-35-133","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-56-35-202"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
