Code Ann. § 56-43-102","heading":"Construction - Legislative intent","body":"This chapter shall be interpreted liberally in order to:\n(1) Encourage the development of effective and economically sound methods for making legal services more readily available;\n(2) Protect the interests of the users of legal services and of the public of this state with a minimum of restrictions on experimentation with new forms of organization, administration, or benefits;\n(3) Seek to have the risk inherent in experimentation borne by the promoters of new plans rather than by the consumers;\n(4) Permit and encourage the providing of legal services through persons other than professional insurers subject to practical and reasonable financial and regulatory requirements;\n(5) Permit and encourage fair and effective competition among the various systems of financing legal services; and\n(6) Maintain a high level of quality and conformity to professional insurers subject to practical and reasonable financial and regulatory requirements.","path":["TN Code","Title 56","Chapter 43"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"057e920c9ffe7c93f9948ecf590429c4ca414cde8ef16e697a2efc61e478b9fa","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-56-43-101","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-56-43-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
