Code Ann. § 56-6-1202","heading":"Requirement to hold a limited lines license to sell or offer coverage","body":"(a) An owner shall hold a limited lines business entity producer's license to sell or offer coverage under a policy of self-service storage insurance. An owner who complies with this part shall be entitled to a limited lines license, without examination, authorizing the owner to sell or offer coverage under a policy of self-service storage insurance.\n(b) A limited lines license issued to an owner under this section shall authorize any employee or authorized representative of the owner to sell or offer coverage under a policy of self-service storage insurance to an occupant at each location at which the owner engages in self-service storage transactions.\n(c) In connection with an owner's initial application for licensure and at renewal, the owner shall provide a list to the commissioner of all locations in this state at which the owner offers coverage.\n(d) Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, a license issued pursuant to this section shall authorize the licensee and its employees or authorized representatives to engage in activities permitted in this part.","path":["TN Code","Title 56","Chapter 6"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"9747d4bf3e002ad4a98be820f9aaa2632dc91b1c0a2d0c4e3234e5a54e608956","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-56-6-1201","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-56-6-1203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
