Code Ann. § 56-9-102","heading":"Applicability","body":"The proceedings authorized by this chapter may be applied to:\n(1) All insurers who are doing, or have done, an insurance business in this state, and against whom claims arising from that business may exist now or in the future;\n(2) All insurers who purport to do an insurance business in this state;\n(3) All insurers who have insureds resident in this state;\n(4) All other persons organized or in the process of organizing with the intent to do an insurance business in this state;\n(5) All nonprofit service plans and all fraternal benefit societies and beneficial societies subject to § 56-25-606 ;\n(6) All title insurance companies subject to chapter 35 of this title;\n(7) All prepaid health care delivery plans; and\n(8) All fidelity, bonding or surety companies under chapter 15 of this title, and all annuity companies who do business in this state.","path":["TN Code","Title 56","Chapter 9"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"09867e8d61f8a4c1a66b8fe5d7fb5e8829ed808e797dd2950d49cb3e61094daf","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-56-9-101","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-56-9-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
