Code Ann. § 62-3-130","heading":"Penalty for violations","body":"Each of the following constitutes a Class B misdemeanor:\n(1) The violation of any of the provisions of this chapter;\n(2) Permitting any person under one's supervision or control to engage in any practice of barbering without a valid certificate of registration issued by the state board of cosmetology and barber examiners;\n(3) Obtaining or attempting to obtain a certificate of registration for money other than the required fee or any other thing of value or by fraudulent misrepresentations;\n(4) Practicing or attempting to practice by fraudulent misrepresentations;\n(5) The willful failure to display a certificate of registration as required by § 62-3-118 ; and\n(6) Failure to comply with a lawful order of the board.","path":["TN Code","Title 62","Chapter 3"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"4e4a2ffe5d7ff7ed8493f84c50e81c47014497df19236b7278e8919766adafaa","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-62-3-129","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-62-3-131"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
