Code Ann. § 62-32-205","heading":"Label of approval - Certificates and licenses must be current - Employees - Transferability of certificates, licenses and permits","body":"(a) No portable fire extinguisher or fixed fire extinguisher system may be leased, sold or installed in this state unless it carries a label of approval of a testing laboratory approved by the department.\n(b) Except as provided in § 62-32-206 , only the holder of a current and valid certificate of registration or an extinguisher specialist license issued pursuant to this part may service portable fire extinguishers or install or maintain fixed fire extinguisher systems.\n(c) A person who has been issued a license pursuant to this part to service portable fire extinguishers or install and service fixed fire extinguisher systems must be an employee, agent or servant of a firm that holds a certificate of registration issued pursuant to this part.\n(d) A certificate of registration, license or permit issued under this part is not transferable.","path":["TN Code","Title 62","Chapter 32"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"acc379aa174e359af2036f410d5a1247ba7b0f39ebd2de246d3d1b3e02be79a8","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-62-32-204","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-62-32-206"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
