Code Ann. § 63-19-114","heading":"Use of title \"physician assistant\" or abbreviation \"PA.\"","body":"(a) A person who holds a valid license or temporary license from the board has the right to use the title \"physician assistant,\" the abbreviation \"PA,\" or the abbreviation \"PA-C.\" No other person may assume that title or use those abbreviations, or any words, signs, letters, or devices to indicate that the person using them is a physician assistant.\n(b) A person who meets the qualifications for licensure under this chapter but does not possess a current license may use the title \"PA,\" \"physician assistant,\" or \"PA-C,\" but may not act or practice as a PA unless licensed under this chapter.\n(c) This section does not apply to public accountants or certified public accountants.
