Code Ann. § 63-23-205","heading":"Issuance of a multistate license","body":"(a) Upon receipt of an application for multistate license, the home state licensing authority shall determine the applicant's eligibility for a multistate license in accordance with § 63-23-204 .\n(b) If such applicant is eligible pursuant to § 63-23-204 , the home state licensing authority must issue a multistate license that authorizes the applicant or regulated social worker to practice in all member states under a multistate authorization to practice.\n(c) Upon issuance of a multistate license, the home state licensing authority must designate whether the regulated social worker holds a multistate license in the bachelor's, master's, or clinical category of social work.\n(d) A multistate license issued by a home state to a resident in that state must be recognized by all compact member states as authorizing social work practice under a multistate authorization to practice corresponding to each category of licensure regulated in each member state.","path":["TN Code","Title 63","Chapter 23"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"9077ba076c37866321c108182ff62c87cea47e1e5658064a4de7e560e142a859","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-63-23-204","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-63-23-206"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
