Code Ann. § 63-25-108","heading":"Applications for licensure","body":"An applicant for licensure as a dietitian/nutritionist shall file a written application on forms provided by the department or via online application showing to the satisfaction of the board that such person:\n(1) Is of good moral character;\n(2) Has received a baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university that provides a major course of study in human nutrition, food and nutrition, dietetics, or food systems management, or an equivalent major course of study as approved by the board;\n(3) Has successfully completed a planned continuous preprofessional experience in nutrition practice of not less than nine hundred (900) hours under the supervision of a registered dietitian, or successfully completed a program of supervised clinical experience approved by the commission on dietetic registration of the American Dietetic Association; and\n(4) Has passed the national examination prepared and administered by the commission on dietetic registration of the American Dietetic Association.","path":["TN Code","Title 63","Chapter 25"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"430f8d2ee6f752ec0b15e174d6147c5a3f97be35aaabcbe20aae17d9308c8d4a","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-63-25-107","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-63-25-109"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
