Code Ann. § 63-7-109","heading":"Practical nurse qualifications","body":"An applicant for a license to practice as a licensed practical nurse shall submit to the board evidence in such form as the board may prescribe that the applicant:\n(1) Is in good physical and mental health;\n(2) Has completed the twelfth grade or its equivalent or has successfully passed the test for and has received a high school equivalency credential approved by the state board of education and such other preliminary qualifications and requirements as the board may prescribe; and\n(3) Has successfully completed a course of study in an approved school for practical nurses, as defined by the board, and the applicant holds a certificate therefrom, or the approved school has certified to the board that the applicant has met all requirements for a certificate.","path":["TN Code","Title 63","Chapter 7"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"53c94a1328f21f1ac8d3a420c1b128200826caa0142b25620d229a18147c41ac","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-63-7-108","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-63-7-110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
