Code Ann. § 64-1-808","heading":"Cooperation with Tennessee Valley authority and other agencies - Reports","body":"The authority is further authorized to:\n(1) Cooperate with the Tennessee Valley authority in a study of engineering works as part of plans for comprehensive development of the streams and rivers of Carroll County and in a study of the economic effects of such works in terms of agricultural production, industrial locations, trade, land values and county and state tax revenues;\n(2) Ascertain the availability of, and to obtain to the extent possible, commitments from local interests for financial contributions toward the cost of constructing, operating and maintaining such works;\n(3) Negotiate with the Tennessee Valley authority regarding assistance by that agency in planning and financing such works;\n(4) Report to the governor on plans that may be developed for constructing, operating and maintaining the projects, including recommendations for further legislation to put such plan into effect; and\n(5) Cooperate with other groups authorized to investigate state participation in federal water projects.","path":["TN Code","Title 64","Chapter 1"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"7defe1c0bab83ef21134e867c1f5aced52e47879cf1b13293b05c8504c121d6c","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-64-1-807","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-64-1-809"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
