Code Ann. § 68-1-1010","heading":"Interstate sharing of information — Confidentiality.","body":"(a) In order to obtain complete information on Tennessee cancer patients who have been diagnosed or treated in other states, and in order to provide information to other states regarding their residents who have been diagnosed or treated for cancer in Tennessee, the commissioner or the commissioner's authorized representative is authorized to enter into appropriate written agreements with other states that maintain statewide cancer registries, allowing the exchange of information on cancer patients.\n(b) Each state with which the commissioner agrees to exchange information must agree in writing to keep all patient-specific information confidential and to require any research personnel to whom the information is made available to keep it confidential.","path":["Title 68 Health, Safety and Environmental Protection","Chapter 1 Department of Health","Part 10 Tennessee Cancer Reporting System Act of 1983"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.tn.tca/release76.2021.05.21/gov.tn.tca.title.68.odt","current_through":"2021-05-21","vintage":"Tennessee Code Release 76 (2021-05), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T21:57:36Z","sha256":"db270ee593a722a9201a9287581f7c9200b47e90e516610966674f22812011ba","source_id":"us-tn","stale":true,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-68-1-1009","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-68-1-1011"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
