Code Ann. § 68-1-2304","heading":"Office of child nutrition and wellness.","body":"(a) The office of child nutrition and wellness shall be created in the department, but only upon sufficient funding being appropriated for the office.\n(b) The office shall perform the following functions:\n(1) Assist the commissioner in identifying and establishing priorities for programs, services, and resources to promote better child nutrition and wellness;\n(2) Serve as a clearinghouse for information on child nutrition and wellness;\n(3) Identify and recommend sources of funding for promotion of child nutrition and wellness and seek funding from the sources;\n(4) Make recommendations to the commissioner regarding programs that address child nutrition and wellness for inclusion in the department's annual budget; and\n(5) Conduct public educational forums to raise public awareness about child nutrition and wellness issues.","path":["Title 68 Health, Safety and Environmental Protection","Chapter 1 Department of Health","Part 23 Child Nutrition and Wellness Act of 2006"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.tn.tca/release76.2021.05.21/gov.tn.tca.title.68.odt","current_through":"2021-05-21","vintage":"Tennessee Code Release 76 (2021-05), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T21:57:36Z","sha256":"5b91048cda6de0dfac2d174d44c9a751e8c3492bf48787526e6400fb057a15db","source_id":"us-tn","stale":true,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-68-1-2302","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-68-1-2401"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
