Code Ann. § 68-10-112","heading":"Reports of physicians and health officers.","body":"(a) Every physician or other person who makes a diagnosis of, treats, or prescribes for a case of STD and every superintendent or manager of a clinic, hospital, laboratory or penal institution, in which there is a case of STD, shall report the case immediately to those persons or agencies designated as recipients of such reports by the commissioner.\n(b) Reports shall be made on forms supplied by the department, stating the name, address, age, sex, race, stage of the disease and other information on the form as may be required for the location, treatment and control of infectious cases.\n(c) Reporting of STDs, other than those designated as reportable in the regulations promulgated by the department, is not required.","path":["Title 68 Health, Safety and Environmental Protection","Chapter 10 Sexually Transmitted Diseases"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.tn.tca/release76.2021.05.21/gov.tn.tca.title.68.odt","current_through":"2021-05-21","vintage":"Tennessee Code Release 76 (2021-05), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T21:57:36Z","sha256":"aca0b7a8961a99eb7ccfa76ebeaf355876ba0c3ac8f80721ace10cbf556e54cc","source_id":"us-tn","stale":true,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-68-10-111","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-68-10-113"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
