Code Ann. § 68-135-110","heading":"Penalty for violation.","body":"(a) A violation of any provision of this part is a Class B misdemeanor.\n(b) In addition to the penalty set forth in subsection (a):\n(1) The state fire marshal shall, upon receipt of the first violation, send a written notice of violation which shall include the possible actions that may be taken in response to any second or subsequent violation;\n(2) The state fire marshal may issue the following civil penalties for second or subsequent violations of this part or the rules lawfully promulgated under this part:\n(A) For a second violation, a civil penalty not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100);\n(B) For a third violation, a civil penalty not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500); and\n(C) For a fourth or subsequent violation, a civil penalty not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000).","path":["Title 68 Health, Safety and Environmental Protection","Chapter 135 Liquefied Petroleum","Part 1 Liquefied Petroleum Safety Act of Tennessee"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.tn.tca/release76.2021.05.21/gov.tn.tca.title.68.odt","current_through":"2021-05-21","vintage":"Tennessee Code Release 76 (2021-05), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T21:57:36Z","sha256":"1e328c7573494c1654938f750d91a2d960ea8faf5fd426a444c2b843578dc97e","source_id":"us-tn","stale":true,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-68-135-109","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-68-135-111"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
