Code Ann. § 68-14-516","heading":"Containment of disease transmission by employees.","body":"(a) When the commissioner has reasonable cause to suspect possible disease transmission by an employee of the facility, the commissioner may secure a morbidity history of the employee or make other investigations as may be indicated.\n(b) The commissioner may require any of the following:\n(1) The immediate exclusion of the employee from employment in the establishment;\n(2) The immediate closing of the facility until in the commissioner's opinion no further danger of disease outbreak exists;\n(3) Restricting the employee's service to some area of the facility where there would be little likelihood of transmitting disease; or\n(4) Adequate medical and laboratory examinations of the employee and of other employees.","path":["Title 68 Health, Safety and Environmental Protection","Chapter 14 Hotels, Food Service Establishments and Swimming Pools","Part 5 Bed and Breakfast Establishment Inspection Act of 1990"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.tn.tca/release76.2021.05.21/gov.tn.tca.title.68.odt","current_through":"2021-05-21","vintage":"Tennessee Code Release 76 (2021-05), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T21:57:36Z","sha256":"4bf0b84bc023ab8025a013ccaaa452571663821573a31a4b6b4663c6e7ad9268","source_id":"us-tn","stale":true,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-68-14-515","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-68-14-517"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
