Code Ann. § 68-2-901","heading":"Development of plan — Propositions.","body":"In order to achieve an equitable allocation of local health resources, the department of health shall develop a plan to distribute state grant-in-aid funds to counties. This plan shall be based on the following propositions:\n(1) A base allocation shall be made to each county to ensure that a basic level of services can be provided. The base allocation shall provide for a minimum core staff;\n(2) A special needs fund shall be maintained for meeting special local health needs as determined by the commissioner of health;\n(3) The remainder of the funds shall be allocated based on a plan prescribed by the commissioner of health;\n(4) An annual plan shall be developed, which shall be subject to approval by the commissioner of health, the commissioner of finance and administration and the comptroller of the treasury; and\n(5) Each county shall submit an annual plan of expenditures pursuant to this section for approval by the commissioner of health.","path":["Title 68 Health, Safety and Environmental Protection","Chapter 2 Local Health Services","Part 9 Allocation Plan for Local Health Resources"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.tn.tca/release76.2021.05.21/gov.tn.tca.title.68.odt","current_through":"2021-05-21","vintage":"Tennessee Code Release 76 (2021-05), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T21:57:36Z","sha256":"8cec0ad6dc68577327802269035aa960e1e97c2e531cc382b2a06425d8267211","source_id":"us-tn","stale":true,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-68-2-802","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-68-2-1001"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
