Code Ann. § 68-211-845","heading":"Promotion of education concerning solid waste management","body":"In order to promote education of children in grades kindergarten through twelve (K-12) concerning solid waste management, source reduction and recycling, the University of Tennessee Waste Management Research and Education Institute, in conjunction with the commissioner of environment and conservation, shall:\n(1) Review, evaluate and publish a list of approved curriculum materials relative to solid waste management, source reduction and recycling;\n(2) Sponsor workshops on the curriculum materials for educators;\n(3) Provide in-service training for teachers on solid waste management, recycling and source reduction, environmental protection and conservation of materials; and\n(4) Establish peer assistance programs for teachers within a solid waste management region.","path":["TN Code","Title 68","Chapter 211"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"ad46541ec60d8723c5148e20b91da03ab08c9489819de5901d6834179398313c","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-68-211-844","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-68-211-846"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
