Code Ann. § 7-59-317","heading":"Notices to affected local governments","body":"A holder of a state-issued certificate of franchise authority shall provide affected local governments with notices as provided in this section, which notices shall include at a minimum:\n(1) Notice of filing of an application for a state-issued certificate of franchise authority, contemporaneously with the filing of the application;\n(2) Notice of offering service for purchase in an affected county or municipality, ten (10) days prior to providing service;\n(3) Notice of filing of an amendment to its application or its previously granted state-issued certificate of franchise authority, contemporaneously with the filing of the amendment with the department;\n(4) Notice of its intent to transfer its state-issued certificate of franchise authority to a successor in interest at least ten (10) days prior to the consummation of the transaction; and\n(5) Notice of termination of a state-issued certificate of franchise authority, contemporaneously with the filing of the notice with the department.","path":["TN Code","Title 7","Chapter 59"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"4be52f9e435963c3525a9d51dd58ffac9619fe019b46d40c05bf41d439e94321","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-7-59-316","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-7-59-318"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
