Code Ann. § 71-4-1203","heading":"Eligibility","body":"An individual is eligible for a personal care assistance services subsidy under this part if such individual:\n(1) Is eighteen (18) years of age or older;\n(2) Has a severe physical disability;\n(3) Is receiving or has received vocational rehabilitation services from the division;\n(4) Is employed or ready for employment;\n(5) Has a need documented under § 71-4-1205 for not less than fourteen (14) hours a week of personal care assistance service provided by a person other than a family member, which services are necessary to enable the individual to be employed;\n(6) Is not otherwise eligible for personal care assistance services under other state or federal programs;\n(7) Agrees to a periodic reevaluation of such individual's need for personal care assistance services and of the extent of that need;\n(8) Has no or insufficient personal income or other support from public services, family members or neighbors;\n(9) Agrees to recruit, hire, fire, and supervise the person who provides personal care assistance services to such individual; and\n(10) Qualifies under § 71-4-1206 .","path":["TN Code","Title 71","Chapter 4"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"502e489c589c5b94e1502b4ca9227dd926323299e6be28c8456bb00e75453c7e","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-71-4-1202","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-71-4-1204"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
