Code Ann. § 71-5-901","heading":"Commissioner of human services to conduct study of poverty","body":"The commissioner of human services shall complete a study of poverty in Tennessee, including its implications and potential solution strategies with feedback from departments, agencies, and selected non-governmental organizations serving the affected populations. Such departments, agencies and organizations shall include, but not be limited to the following:\n(1) Department of children's services;\n(2) Department of health;\n(3) The bureau of TennCare;\n(4) Department of economic and community development;\n(5) The Tennessee commission on children and youth;\n(6) Department of disability and aging;\n(7) The Room in the Inn program of Middle Tennessee;\n(8) The Catholic Charities in Tennessee;\n(9) The Area Relief Ministries of Jackson, Tennessee;\n(10) The Second Harvest Food Bank of Tennessee;\n(11) The Neighborhood Christian Center of Memphis, Tennessee; and\n(12) The Regional Interfaith Alliance of Jackson, Tennessee.","path":["TN Code","Title 71","Chapter 5"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"7ee94097b5688f63d085ca1d7de813586f3384d0bb45d889ba6d66111ab7190f","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-71-5-806","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-71-5-902"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
