Code Ann. § 8-15-101","heading":"Employment by counties","body":"The counties are authorized to employ accountants to audit the books of the officers and employees of the counties. Prior to any county authorizing the employment of such auditors or accountants, the county shall request and must obtain the approval of the comptroller of the treasury.
