Code Ann. § 8-36-305","heading":"Minimum allowances","body":"(a) The minimum early service retirement allowance payable to any member in Group 1, 2 or 3 shall be the minimum service retirement allowance computed in accordance with § 8-36-209(a) on the basis of the member's creditable service at the time of early retirement, reduced by four-tenths of one percent (0.4%) for each month by which the member's date of early retirement precedes such member's service retirement date.\n(b) The minimum early service retirement allowance payable to a transferred Class A member or a transferred Class B member shall be equal to a minimum service retirement allowance computed in accordance with § 8-36-209(b) on the basis of the member's creditable service at the time of early retirement.","path":["TN Code","Title 8","Chapter 36"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_tn_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:26Z","sha256":"a481bf0f77ae12e3bec7416569654b51a5b4df5beaeea18959dd811d50343331","source_id":"us-tn","stale":false,"prev":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-8-36-304","next":"us-tn/tenn.-code-ann.-8-36-306"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
