Code Ann. § 8-6-101","heading":"Appointment and qualification - Term of office","body":"The attorney general and reporter for the state is appointed by the judges of the supreme court. The term of office is eight (8) years. A certificate of appointment, signed by all the judges, shall be entered upon the minutes of the court at the first session thereafter at Knoxville, Nashville, and Jackson, respectively.
