Agriculture Code § 301.153","heading":"DATE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE; PERMIT AREA.","body":"A permit may not be issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation before the end of the 30-day period immediately following the first publication of notice and then only in:\n(1) those counties or parts of counties in the target area or operational area in which the majority of the qualified voters voting have approved or have not disapproved the issuance of a permit if an election has been held; or\n(2) any county or part of a county in the target area or operational area if no petition for an election has been filed.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1276, Sec. 2.001(a), eff.
