Agriculture Code § 58.011","heading":"CREATION OF AUTHORITY; PUBLIC PURPOSE.","body":"(a) The Texas Agricultural Finance Authority is created within the Department of Agriculture as a public authority.\n(b) The authority is created to provide financial assistance for the expansion, development, and diversification of production, processing, marketing, and export of Texas agricultural products. The exercise by the authority of the powers and duties conferred by this chapter is an essential public purpose of the state in promoting the general welfare of the state and all of its citizens.\nAdded by Acts 1987, 70th Leg., 2nd C.S., ch. 32, art. 2, Sec. 1, eff.
