Agriculture Code § 60.053","heading":"AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT.","body":"(a) A district may:\n(1) promote all agricultural enterprises, facilities, and services of the district;\n(2) encourage the maintenance and conservation of soil and water in the district;\n(3) acquire, design, construct, and operate an agricultural enterprise; and\n(4) expand, develop, and diversify production, processing, marketing, and export of Texas agricultural products.\n(b) A district may acquire property as necessary, including vehicles, farm equipment, and other machinery and related facilities for the harvesting, processing, storage, packaging, distribution, and transportation of agricultural products or by-products.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1393, Sec. 1, eff.
