Agriculture Code § 60.060","heading":"SUITS.","body":"(a) The district may sue and be sued.\n(b) In a suit against the district, process may be served on a director or registered agent.\n(c) The district may not be required to give a bond on an appeal or writ of error in a civil case that the district is prosecuting or defending.\n(d) The district may indemnify a director or district employee or a former director or district employee for reasonable expenses and costs, including attorney's fees, incurred by that person in connection with a claim asserted against that person if:\n(1) the claim relates to an act or omission of the person when acting in the scope of the person's board membership or district employment; and\n(2) the person has not been found liable or guilty on the claim.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1393, Sec. 1, eff.
